Taking Action on Education Quality

Similar to plan-do-study-act, action research is an iterative and cyclical method for promoting continuous improvement. Action research aims to provide insight into one’s own practice in an effort to bring change and improvement through the steps of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. In this video, Rhonda Rabbitt, assistant dean and director of graduate programs in education at Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI, explains the value of action research and why the university integrated the model in its approach to preparing future teachers.
